My mother is not a good driver and once, we were coming back from the beach and we were in Alto da Boa Vista. It is a two-way road but only one car at a time. My mother was driving the car and there was a car in front of us and a bus in front of this car. As the bus was going slowly the car in front of us took the left side of the road to try to overtake the bus. My mother accelerate the car and took the place of this car, but as another bus was coming in the other side, the driver decided to come back to this position (behind the bus) but he couldn't because my mother was there... I remember to hear the crash sounding when the bus hit the car, but my mother didn't see anything, because she only look ahead when she is driving. After that, all the drivers that overcame us, did some gestures and some scolded us. After her last car accident, 15 years ago, she gave up driving.
