Next Bucks Event: Afternoon Tea!

WHEN: October 25th
WHAT TIME: 5pm

Bring your snack and come to have fun with us!

"High Tea is often a misnomer. Most people refer to afternoon tea as high tea because they think it sounds regal and lofty, when in all actuality, high tea, or "meat tea" is dinner. High tea, in Britain, at any rate, tends to be on the heavier side. American hotels and tea rooms, on the other hand, continue to misunderstand and offer tidbits of fancy pastries and cakes on delicate china when they offer a "high tea."
Afternoon tea (because it was usually taken in the late afternoon) is also called "low tea" because it was usually taken in a sitting room or withdrawing room where low tables (like a coffee table) were placed near sofas or chairs generally in a large withdrawing room. "

Brunch: Have a Sneak Peak!

Thank you guys for coming!
The Snack was delicious!

Sharing Experiences!

Today, I'm posting Marcos' words on his last trip to the U.S.A. See what his trip was like:

"I wanted to share with you my experience of last week. I was in New York and I was a little afraid before leaving my country. There had been a long time since I went to the U.S for the last time, and it had been a long time without learning/practicing English. I had studied English in the past, I started at UPTIME in Chapter 10, and now I am in Chapter 16. I didn’t know I would be able to meet the challenges of the Big Apple. But everything was okay. I was able to communicate with people in different situations. Customs, shops, restaurants, etc.

At times, I didn’t know some words or didn’t understand specific things, but it was possible to understand the meaning of the sentences and the objective of the caller, even without some words. The experience was very good and encouraged me to continue studying and improving my English.
