THANKSGIVING!!!

Hey guys!

Last November 25th we had our Thanksgiving lunch. The event was a success!
We started out with the EF lecture on American tradition. It was really interesting and you could practice your listening skills. After, it was lunch time. We had a wonderful, traditional meal with turkey, corn on the cob, apple pie, mac and cheese, pumpkin souflet and Monique brought us some delicious french toasts!

We also had the opportunity to thank whoever and whatever we wanted, because it is the moment to express our gratitude. I'll take this opportunity to thank all the students that showed up on our event. It is really a pleasure to organize everything and to see that, in the end, it was all worth it!

Visiting New Orleans

Hi guys!

Our student Airton Lima (from Senior stage) sent us some pictures of his trip to the U.S., more specifically the city of New Orleans, in Louisiana!

In spite of being on business, he said he had a wonderful time! According to him, New Orleans provides a very different experience for visitors and holds lots of weird and interesting sights. Among the places he enjoyed the most are "The court of two houses", "Canal Street" and "Bourbon street".

For those who are not familiar with it, the city is known by its Jazz music tradition, the voodoo religion and the city's Carnival. Got interested?

UP AT THE ZOO!

Hi guys!

In October we had our first event of the year! Funny, isn't it?

We are almost at the end of 2010! Holy cow!

Despite the weather, which I believe has prevented most of the students from joining us, we had a wonderful time at the ZOO! We laughed, ate, learned and, of course, spoke lots of English!

Hi everyone!

I was trying to find a way to welcome you all attractively so that you'd think this place was really worth visiting, but I realized that our old and well-known saying could fit like a glove.

So, "Be welcome" to our new blog! This is going to be a place for sharing ideas, giving tips, making comments, reflecting upon the study of English, getting to know about events and, last but not least, studying and broading your knowledge. In short words, this space is for us: instructors and students.
